LAYS OF 1945: CHAPTER 173 RICORDS OF FILITARY SERVICE; FREE RECORDING THEREOF BY REGISTOR OF DEEDS; FREu COPIES House Bill "No. 129 AN ACT relating to the free recording in the office of register of deeds of records of military service and providing for the furnishing of certified copies of such records without charge. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LECTSLATURS OF THE STATE OF KANGAS: SECTION 1,, Whenever there shall be ptesented to the register of deeds of eny county in this state the discharge or other official records of military service of any person who has been honorably discharged from the armed forces of the United States at any time, said register of deeds shall record the same in a record book which shall be provided for such purpose and no fee shall be charged for such recordation. Upon recuest, of the person to whom such discharge was issued, his agent or relative, the register of deeds shall prepare and furnish certified copies of any such discharge or records of military service and no fee shall be charged for the first five copies therefor, SECTION 2, This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official state paper, : Approved March 24, 1945.
