Dear Coach,

Thank you very much for sending me your letter regarding the
good basketball player who is ineligible to play in your
Conference. |

I appreciate your kindness in writing, but since we have out
of state tuition, which is treble that of our local tuition,
there is no way that we have of handlin: such a young man. We
do not even have scholarships, nor do we have locrative jobs
that would enable him to make more than $20.00 a month.

The authorities here figure that that is all any boy can work
and still carry a full load of academic subjects.

I am sorry that this young man became ineligible for you by
playing one year at college.
