Dear Phog:

I have just returned from hunting quail up in Woodson
County where my son is living on a ranch, and Dink Littrell
tells me that he talked to you over the telephone and that
you will be our guest speaker at our annual football banquet
on the Srd day of December.

I am very glad that you are going to make a visit to
our city and hope that we will have an opportunity to reminisce
concerning the good old days.

I think that most of the alumnae were astonished at the
outcome of the Kansas-Missouri football game last Saturday,
and the team and the entire athletic department is to be con-
gratulated.

If you will let me know about when you expect to arrive
in Coffeyville, I will meet you, and I will be glad to take you
under my wing during your stay here.
