Dear Dean Stouffer:

Thank you for your mimeographed letter to the faculty
regarding a possible budget for assistance to research projects
of members of the faculty. I have polled ow group and at
present we have no one, it seems, who has had time enough to
dwell on possible research work.

We are hoping when things get normal again that some of
our men, especially Major E. R. Elbel who is in the School of
Aviation Medicine at Randolph Field, Texas, may have some defin-
ite contributions. And too, when things do get normal, most of
us will have time at least to think of possible interesting re-
