Dear "Phog":

Thanks very much for your letter of
December 7, inviting me to attend the basketball game
Saturday night, December ll.

I should have written you long before tais,
but we have had a lot of sickness in the office, and
I have been pretty busy with some Washington representa-
tives.

I told Karl Klooz yesterday to tell you that
I appreciated your invitation very much and I was sorry
that I couldn't accept, as Mrs. Shaeffer is not feeling
very well and my daughter, Anne, will be at the University
for a dance Saturday night.

I sincerely regret that you could not be at
our luncheon, and I will look forward to having the oppor-
tunity of seeing you again in the very near future.
