Dear Phog:

Thanks for your letter of June 25. Since writing our letter
which you got, the fund has received another $25 contribution so the
totel amount is actually $686.79, leaving only $63.21 short of the
$750 goale

I wonder if you are right about $750 running up to $1000 in
ten years. My experience in war bonds has been that organizations,
foundations, and the like can buy only series F and Ge They net 22%
which would require twelve years to mature $750 into $1000.
