Dear Ray:

We are playing Washburn University at Topeka,
Kansas, on December 4th, and are playing them back here on the
Sth, then playing Rockhurst in Kansas City on the 12th.

The only way, Ray, that I could come would be
by driving that big Buick automobile, and I could not make it
for a penny less than six cents a mile. I would say the least
f could make the trip to Independence for would be $10.00.
And too, Ray, I wouldn't like to reneg on you but I am just
afraid that I would be neglecting my basketball team if I left
them at the present time. nog

What time would your banquet be? If it would
be at 6 o'clock I just simply couldn't make it, but if it were
at 7 I could have an early practice and get away perhaps. I .
know you will appreciate the coach's situation.
