LAW OFFICES OF Sheridan & Bishop BOTH PHONES NO.65 BERNARD L.SHERIDAN : Jlacla ,Ransas DEPOSITIONS LL. PERRY -SitsHor NOTARIAL WORK J. MILTON SULLIVANT COLLECTIONS MEMBER October 21, 1943 Mr. F. Cc, Allen c/o K. U. Athletic Associa tion Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phogs We have: just completed an agreement by which we have formed a new partnership between the members of this firm and J. Milton Sullivant under the firm name and style of Sheridan, Bishop & Sullivant. Milton has been with us now about a year and three months and we believe that the new firm will constitute a very practical and successful arrangement. On account of his connection with K. U. athletics and particularly football, we though that it might be possible for you to mention the matter to McBride or some of the fellows on the Star and possibly some of the other papers. Milton says that mite often the Star mentions present occupations or some new line of endeavor of fellows who have been prominent in athletics. This, of course, is confidential, and it may be impractical, but we thought we would mention it to you. We know that you : quite often happen to meet these fellows in the course of your athletic activities and it might be of considerable service to Milton and the firm to have the matter mentioned in that way. Of course, you realize the handicaps under which the legal prof- ession operates in regard to any form of advertisement or pub- licity, but we thought perhaps a short comment in McBride's column or elsewhere on the sports page might mention that Sullivant, the captain of the '39 team,is now practicing law in Paola as a member of the firm of Sheridan, Bishop & Sullivant. I hear from Michael occasionally and I guess everything is going all right with the boys in Philadelphia. Michael is not getting good enoughk grades to set the world on fire, but -so far he seems to have ssed in everything, and after all that is the main thing. Michael gives us very good reports of Bob also. I was not a bit mad about the Navy taking over the boys and I presume that you did not make any big fuss about it either. I presume the Army, which evidently took over Bob, makes the same arrangements about the expenses as does the Navy. With kindest personal regards, I am BLS/RMF . Yours. os ยข !
