Birthday Greetings

Dear Brother Pater
of the Scottish Rite:

Has it been a year since last you were receiving the con-
gratulations of relatives and friends because you had reached and
passed another milestone on the great pilgrimage of life? It does
not seem quite possible, but our records assure us that it is true.

So, since the records and the calendar must be right, we
are happy to extend our greetings, our good will and our best wishes
» for many more events of this kind. Likewise, may we express our
- hope that the past year has been kind to you and yours and that the
year just opening will be one of satisfactions to you.

Satisfactions not only of a physical and material kind,
but enduring ones which add increment to the spiritual building—-
"That Temple not. made with hands"-~-which every mason is erecting.

After a long period of trying times, which brought many
losses in membership, your Scottish Rite Bodies are again growing in
a very fine way. Many new members have been coming in and 4 goodly
. number reinstated. The number of suspensions has been greatly de-
: creased. All this bespeaks a healthy and wholesome situation here. _

Many new faces are appearing in the Degree work, along with
quite a sprinkling of the older ones. On the whole, we believe the
lessons are being presented in a most commendable manner. New mem-—
bers express their appreciation enthusiastically, and we are encouraged.

- Attendance, too, has picked up, and we are always happy to greet our
members at regular meetings as well as at Reunions.
