Kansas City, Mo. March 4, 1946 Dr. Forrest Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: I wish to thank you for your letter on the necessary proceedure to go through in order to get Fred entered into K.U. next fall. I have written twice to the registrar but to date I have not received any reply and it has been several weeks wince I wrote to him. ‘Knowing of the crowded conditions at present, we are anxious to get Fred registered at once before they close the enrollment. George Peterson, Vice-lrincipal at Southwest, has assured him he has the necessary credits. Knowing you are very busy, I hesitate to bother you but I will appreciate your calling this registrar and urge him to mail me the necessary papers. Congratulations on the record your team has made and only hope you have that playoff with the Aggies at Kansas City. I'm very sorry you couldn't attend the Founders Day Banquet. It was a splendid affair and over 160 attended. J turned over my presidency to Craig Ruby whom we feel will do a swell job. If you can do anything to get those papers over in the near future, I will greatly appreciate it. Several of his close friends have already enrolled (Beta sons) and he, of course, is most anxious to know definitely if he will be accepted, Fraternally yours, ¢ Phil G.
