Fine Arts students who wish to secure the Special Certificate for teaching music or art must take P50 and A50; also two courses out of H64, 952, and E50. General Psychology is prerequisite to these courses, as also is junior standing. College Juniors and Seniors who wish to secure the three-year, Renewable-for-Life Cer- tificate may not offer any freshman-sophomore Education courses as part of the 19 hours of Education required for the University Teachers’ Diploma. They will begin with P50 and A50; then elect any two of the following three courses: H64, S52, and E50. This will constitute the Fundamentals group. After completing the Fundamentals group, they will elect three additional hours in Education and will take the teaching methods course in their major subject. The State Board requires Supervised Teaching or corresponding experience of all candidates for certificates. College students are warned to elect only those Education courses for which the College gives credit. oe ts Juniors in the School of Education will begin their professional work withalSDAliO, and four hours selected from H64, $52, and E50 unless they have advanced Education credit / from other schools. They will ‘consult the Education Advisor before arranging their courses. For further details students will consult pages 83 to 85 of Section I of the University * Catalogue Physical Education Majors will arrange their course in consultation with a Physical Edu- cation advisor. Graduate students with a major in Education will in every case arrange their course with a graduate Education advisor. Supervised Teaching on the secondary school level is available only to candidates for the University Teachers’ Diploma.
