The expense as outlined in your above mentioned letter is very reasonable and is approved by the Board. Therefore, if it fits in with your conveniences, March 24th will be fine, and you may use any subject you desire as am sure you will be able to hold the interest of our group with any message you have. Our Club is made up of Railroad Freight Solicitors, Truck Line Solicitors, Airway Representatives and Traffic Managers of the larger industries, also a great many officials of the various rail- roads officing in Kansas City. The object of our Club is to promote closer relationship between those interested in transportation and transmission problems. We are the largest Club in Kansas City with a membership of over 550 and hold a great many affairs throughout the year such as Spring and Fall Stag Smokers, Annual Pienic for members and families, two dinner dances, Annual Dinner, usually in January when we have installation of new officers and at Christmas time we take care of four or five Orphan's and Children's Homes by way of a Christmas tree at each Home with presents for each child (this is done yearly). I give you all the above to acquaint yourself with the Traffie Club of Kansas City. Am also enclosing a 1940 Roster. certain you will know a number of our members.
