Dear Dr. Allen:

We have just accomplished something here at
Linwood or at least we think so. Our basketball
team brought home a tournament first place trophy
(our first in five years) and the town and comn-

unity are planning a celebration honoring the boys.

We want to stage this affair (bsnouet, I
oresume) sometime around the middle of next
month, and I have promised them that I would
try to get you for a guest speaker for the oc-
casion,

Of. course, Ll realize that you are a very busy
man and may have a full sehedule of similar events
now; but it would mean much to us here in our
Little community if you could come,

I don't know whether you are accustomed to

receiving a set fee for such affairs; exoense money,

or what not. We don't have much to spend for such
purposes but will try to do what ever you think is
right in that resvect.

Will you drop me a line letting me know as

to whether you can come, whet renumeration you would

expect, and probable dates acceotable to you after
Maren 15th.
