Minneapolis Schools Minneapolis, Ranses Dear Mr. Igel, Thank you for your very good letter of the 17th instant inviting me to be you speaker at the athletic banguet sponsored by your Lions Club. : I an very disappointed that I have not been able to address your fine group before, but it seemed that obstacles over which I had no control prevented mee We're planning a basketball game here between the Varsity and the FPreshnen on Homecoming eve on the night of Nov, 21. This is prior to our Kansas-Missouri football game. Therefore it will be almost necessary that I be here on Nov. 20, but I'll certainly be happy to come out on the 19th. The state does not provide traveling expenses, therefore, any traveling we do is at out own expense. With the cutting down on the only cer I drive is a large Buick. I find that I can not operate this car for less than 6¢ a mile each way and then I do not believe that I break even. I make no charge, of course, for . speaking and if you can take care of this expense, I'll be happy to come.
