Dear Dr. Allen: The MePherson Rebounders club is planning a banquet for our high school and MeĀ„he rson college basketball squads the night of Mareh 26 and several of the members have approached m on the matter of a speaker. I am writing you on that subject. As you undoubtedly know our Rebounders elub is composed of McYherson business men who are interested in sports, particularly basketball. We gather once a week to eat together and to discuss cage teams and their records throughout the state. I can assure you that the KU squad comes in for plenty of talk as McPherson is well populated with loyal | KU gradse Out club is a loose-lmit affair, without dues and without a treasury. We would like nothing better than to have you be the principal speaker at our banquet honoring our local cagers, but unfortunately we are a little on the lean side for funds. I am not familiar with your practice in making trips for speeches but would like very much to hear from you as to your policy of trip expenses, etc., should you find March 26 an open date on your calendar.
