November 12, 1941 Mr. fT. T. Ferguson Southeast Missouri Telephome Co. Cape Girardeau, Mo. Dear Mr. Ferguson, Thank you for your letter of the 10th instant confirming my Speaking engagement for your annual Lions Club football dinner on Nove 26 at 6:50 p.m. Our Thanksgiving holiday (God's net Roosevelt's) will start on Bove 26 at noon, but I will make arrangembnts to be in Cape Girardeau early enough so that I may drop in to see you and say “hello"“. I surely want to have a visit with you and renew our 1920 acquaintance. That was a great battle with Nebraska that day was it not? ~~ 20 - 208 We were out-weighed 27 pounds to the man and we were beaten at the half - 20-0. But those beys cane back with @ bang that day. Their hardiness built this wonderful stadium which now has cost $660,000. On Mondey morning the students met in the gymmasium which was used for an auditorium and sub- scribed $160,000 as a tribute to the fighting hearts of the great group of Kansas boys who would not be whipped. It will be a great pleasure to see you again and talk over old times. With all good wishes I am : Sincerely, Director of Physical Education and Recreation FcA/pg | Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach
