I just received your letter and am making
immediate reply as suggested. I really find it
impossible to pay out this much expense money for
this occasion. I will take your suggestion and try
to find someone closer. I wish to thank you for
this trouble that I have caused you and am deeply
regretful that I aannot have you as a speaker for
our banquet. |

I sincerely hope that you and old KU will
have the best ever basketball team this year. I
will try to see some of the games this season.
