Mudge Mason, of St. Joseph, Mo. brought arthur Spangbarg to
our home, Wednesday, Jan. 28th, 5 PM Dr Allen called me

and said he was sending him to .our home. The Juége talked to
me before he called the young man in, and said he wanted him
in our home because the young man was to give all his mind and
energy to his studies, he wanted him to make good, and he
understood from Dr. Allen he had to blehave himself or he coul
not remain here.

Rent for half of room for one month, from Jan. 28th

to go to his Father's funeral who had
passed away that day. He had not a penny

I have also given his several meals, as our guest, because
we fejt so sorry for him. Also gave him his breakfast
this morning, Thursday, Feb 20th, as he said he was
leaving as soon as some money came for his bus fare
and I could not bear to think he might be hungry. There
is, of course, no charge for these, bui I would like
to have the above money, so as to be able to carry on
until the lst, when I will get Mr Wellhausen's check,
without borrawing from the Bank.
