LA SALLE STREET Jenuary 12, 1942 Dear Dr Allen: Thank you for the photographs and material which arrived this mornings I got them over to Dale O'Brien's office before noon and discussed the material with him. Your photograph is sharp; that of Dr Naismith apparently is a photograph of a photograph and as usual isn't quite so good for newspaper use. We will, however, do the best we can with it. We will return any photographs which we haven't used. You did not indicate by what train you and the team will arrive in Chicago. Please give the name of the railroad and the time of arrival. Also, we want to have your subject. When will you be free to go on the radio for an interview with Bob Elston, the sports editor of the Tribune - Friday or Saturday? I got in touch with Arthur Morse last week. We are handling the circulation of the Jayhawker mailing list for him, and he in turn is meking a contribution toward our postage account. I passed on your greetings to Dale O'Brien. He is looking forward to a visit with you here. Yours sincerely, se Dr F C Allen University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas
