Dear Dr. Allen:

The Junior Chamber of Commerce of Medicine Lodge is getting ready
to hold a banquet in honor of the Medicine Lodge High School Basket-
ball Team which took second place in the Class A Tournament held at
Salina, Kansas, last week. It is proposed that this banquet be on the
evening of April 9th, and I have been asked by the committee in charge
to write you to see if you could be here that evening to give the prin-
Cipal address.

We are interested in lmowing what you would charge to come to
Medicine Lodge and be our principal speaker.

Will you kindly let us hear from you as to whether or not you can
be here on the 9th and what your charge will be so that I can give
this information to the committee and they, in turn, will advise you
if you are wanted as the principal speaker.
