Dears Reve Noland:

i have just returned from Columbia, Missouri where we played
the University of Missouri in basketball last night, and I find your
letter of the 17th awaiting mee 4 : .

We play Missouri here at Lawrence in baseball on ay 5 and 6,
and since the games are not called until after 33:30 P.mu., they never
finish before 6300. I do not know that I would be able to get there _
at 7:00 P.M. because of the fact that I would have to dress after the
gam@e It is not always possible to rush away immediately after a game
because there are always things to doe

| I would make no charge exept for my automobile which I drive,
and that costs me 6¢ a mile each way to keep up a Buick Roadmaster. —
i find that I can make no money on 6? a miles

: If you feel that I could come a little later than 7300, or as
soon aS possible thereafter, and if the financial arrangement is agreeable,
I would be gled to comee I should like to have Mrs» Allen accompany me
if she feels she could arrange it, I am sure I would have a very enjoyable
time meeting with your groupe
