FINAL GRADES Foden Sidioe ce 'Oix0 fuccday*Mbunihe, ‘Pune 86, toes,” PPA & I have received the following communication from Lt. Copping. Will you please cooperaté with the Navy by following the suggestion made in the letter? Mr. Leonard H, Axe, University Navy V-le Coordinator. Dear Mr, Axe: Tt has come to my attention that there have been cases of Y-12 trainees requesting instructors to allow absence from class for the purpose of securing an early liberty on Friday afternoon or Savurday morning. It is obvious that this practice places an entire- ly unnecessary burden upon the instructors, An order has been issued to the V-12 men that they are to attend all classes at the time scheduled. Trainees have been — further directed that they are not to make requests to instructors for the purpose of securing an absence from classes, If a trainee makes such a request his demerit should be taken, a notation made on it, and sent to this office. In regard to the examination schedule, trainees have been directed that they are not to make requests to instructors for changes in the time of examinations for the purpose of securing an early lease. Very Sincerely yours, As B. Copping, Commanding Officer, Lt. Copping has issucd the following dircctive to all V-12 mon: Subjcct: | Attcndance at Classcs, 1.
