6. This directive shall not apply to athletic teams representing the
United States Naval Academy or Ue S. Navy Pre-Flight Schools.

7. The responsibility for approval of participation of Naval personnel in
subject events is delegated to Commandants of Naval Districts and River Commands.
Cases involving exceptions to this policy ~— be referred for final decision
to the Chief of Naval Personnel.
