Since it takes at least a week to prepare the letters to the parents concerning oie uid-semester grades, it is important that all grades be tu ry office not later than May 1. Otherwise, the grades to te reported May 29 will be due before the parents receive information concerning the mid-semester grades. Time is of the essence in reporting grades at mid-semester. In the future, when a V-l2 student reports to class and asks to be excused to have his photograph taken, or attend his grandmother's funeral, etc, please do not give him permission to leave the class for such purposes unless he has a written chit from Lieutenant Michelman or Lieu- tenant Fitzhugh. Such procedure need not be followed, of course, in case of sickness.
