Dear "Phog":

Words are entirely inadequate to express my thoughts
over the outcome of the games Friday and Saturday.

You may have had on your teams in the past more brilliant
players, which I doubt, but I confidently assert that you
never have had a team with more fight or one that wouldn't
be beaten. And after all this is what makes a championship
team.

There was certainly a lot of interest in the games over
here. You may have seen the account of the Saturday game in

the Kansas City Kansan, but for fear you did not, I am sending
it to you under separate cover.
