Dear "Doc?

I would like to ask you a couple of questons.
We are playing Ottawa High School at Ottdwa on Dec. 8the
Do‘you happen to have a ball game on Sate Dec. 9th? If
so, would it be possible to get my boys in? "Doc" I am
not trying to chisel, but I will have several 6f these
boys graduating and I want t hem tocgo t o KU. If you
do not have a game, I would like to have them watch your
practices.

Most of my boys are out for football. SolI ~
don't know exactly what material I do have to work one
I started practice at night the first of last month.
About 120 boys have been reporting, it certainly is a
job but I like it. The boys seem to be so very poorly
trained in their fundamentals, I am spending most of’
my time with the Sophe groupe It sure keeps me going.
They are making me assist with football until about six
o'clock every evening, and than I report back up here at.
7 o' clock for basketball practice. The work is not
worrying me a bit, just as long as I can make a go of ite
This is my opportunity and I sure want to get along O.Ke
