U. S. NAVAL AIR STATION OLATHE, KANSAS 29 September 1943 Dr. Forrest C, Allan Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: All naval shore stations procure cargo nets from Great Lakes, Illinois and our Navy Catalogues do not list the source of supply. We were, however, able to find two companies who classify themselves as the source of suoply for cargo nets. Contact the 2amaar Anchor Blasting Mat and Rope Company, 245 E. 32nd Street, New York City, or the Superior Fire Equip- ment Corporation, 235 E. 42nd Street, New York City. We have no knowledge as to the exact cost of thesé cargo nets, but my guess is, they are quite high because of the shortage of rope fiber. With best wishes, I am.
