Greenbush Road West Nyack, New York June 28, 1938 Dr. F. €. Allen, Chairman Dep't. of Physicel Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Sir: Am interested in enrolling in the Physical Education course offered by the University of Kansas. Have studied the requirements of the course and find that I lack Biology. The Congers High School, of which I am a graduate, does not offer Biology. However, have taken and completed a course in Chemistry. Was advised by a member of the faculty of this school to ask if it would be possible to substitute Chemistry for the Biology which I had no chance to take. Will you kindly write me and let me know if this is possible? Have, altogether, sixteen regents units to my cre—- dit in my high school course. They include: 4 Units of English 5 Units of Language (2 in Latin and 3 in French) 2 Units of Schence (General Science and Chemistry) 3 Units of History (Histories A, B & C) 2 Units of Mathematics (Algebra and Plane Geometry) Also, will you please inclose, in addition to your answer to my question, an application blank for entrance to the Physical Education course and any other material that you feel might be helpful to me? Thanking you in advance, I am Yours very truly, frucunt Pierre Anderson
