THE MAN’S MAGAZINE 1501 BROADWAY, NEW YORK 18, WN. Y. January 15, 1946 Dear Sir: You will find enclosed the ballot for your selections and comments of the ten leading basketball players of All-American calibre whom you have observed this season. In order for us to meet our pub- lishing schedule, would you be kind enough to return this ballot in the stamped envelope enclosed so that it will be in our hands by February first, sooner, if possible. We feel that at this particular date your opinions can be pretty well established since in most cases you have seen the outstanding players in your section of the country perform. To facilitate the poll, it has been decided that one vote will be allowed for each paper. If more than one basketball expert covers the game, we would appreciate a joint selection of their choices. It is our plan to publish the names of writers and newspapers, as well as coaches and colleges, of all participants in this nation- wide poll. This list will appear with the article announcing the All-American selections in the issue which hits the newsstands on March 22. We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this poll. Sincerely yours, McV:LK I. R. McVay Enc: 2 Sports Editor
