I assure you that we will help you in every way that we cane I have just finished talking to the Personnel Director of the Veteran's Bureau at the University, Dr. Elbel, and he tells me that it will be necessary to have your high school send your transcript to Dre Lawrence Woodruff, the registrar of the University. Then it will be necessary for you to write a letter to Dr. Woodruff, applying to him for the refresher course in the University. Since you did not finish high school, the Bureau has set up an arrangement whereby it would be necessary for you to enter one semester in this refresher course. A battery of tests would be made by Dr. Turney, our Professor of Education’ Psychology, and certain subjects would be assigned you. If you should pass these subjects favorably, you would a be enrolled as a regular freshman at the University of Kansas. Perhaps Otto Rost has told you that we have a number of trainers in very prominent positions and I would be glad to help you. I am sure that you would be very successful in your work after learne ing your talents as outlined in your letter, Jimmy Cox, head trainer at Harvard, Rolend Logan, U. 8. Military Academy at West Point, Elwyn Dees, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Nebraska, Mike Kelly, University of Texas, and Dean Nesmith, present trainer at the University of Kansas, are all boys who have been developed by me and who have been highly successful, , 7 I am sure thet we would enjoy you here at the University of Kansas, Let me know as to your decision and please remember me nost kindly to my good friend Otto Rost.
