After I had dictated the letter, Mrs. Allen called me from home
saying that she had received the announcement of Bob's marriage to
Miss Utterback of Newton. Please convey to Bob our very best wishes
for a long, happy and prosperous wedded life. .

Mrs. Allen and I were perplexed regarding the reception until the
invitation clarified the situation.
