Pardon the brevity of this urgent request, but I am writing an article
for a national magazine on Football Men at War, and the deadline is rapidly
approaching.

I am making a quick survey of the leading schools of the country in
order that I may have adequate and representative data from all sections.

I should like to have from each school (a) the names of two or three
of its most famous football players who have been prominent in the war (in any
way - armed services or otherwise); (bo) all the details you know about their war
records, AND (c) a brief review of their greatest football feats at your school.

Will you kindly fill out the questionnaire below - right now, if you
possibly can - and mail it to me in the enclosed, stamped envelope? I shall be
grateful to you; the material will be very valuable to me in preparing material
for the magazine and for my daily column in the New York §un.

Please provide as complete details as possible about both the players’
