‘Dear Mr. Trevor:

I am sorry that I failed to give you the information _
which you asked of me in your recent letter. I have been so
tied up with war work as secretary of the Selective Service
Board and other allied war activities, that I have not had the
time to function in extra curricular matters. It would have
taken a good deal of time to get the information that you
desired and I simply did not have it.

: _ = have been teaching classes in the University this
summer. However, our school closes on Saturday, August 18,
and if this information could be forthcoming after that I
would be glad to accommodate you. Please let me know if the
information at a later date can be of benefit to you. With
