Allen Robinson Gymnasium University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Mr. Allen: Your letter received today in regard to a pair of shoes with as thick a sole as we are able to furnish you. I am today sending you a pair that is the thickest sole shoe we make. They are a new shoe with us as they are the supreme grade shoe, and the factory just brought them out this fall. This pair shoes are $12.%5 and you will notice the heels are the new type heel to conserve the rubber in this country. A number of my customers that are now wearing this shoe tell me that they like this heel much better than the old half rubber heels that our shoes used to carry. The other tan pair you have in a wing tip are 9-8 weight soles and this pair are 11-8 weight soles and the heaviest ones we make. So I am sending them for your approval, and if they are not what you want then you may return them. If they are 0.K. then you can send check for same. In the first paragraph of your letter you speak of a sm&ll wrinkle in the pair you are now wearing. When you are in Il will be glad to examine them and see just what the trouble is. I truly appreciate your business sand hope that I may always serve you. Yours very truly, LK Lh
