Dear Phog: I have just finished reading the article "Give the Ball to Junior !" in the Dec. 28th issue of the Saturday Evening Post. I know that you appreciate the fact that all Kansas University Alumni feel a deep debt of gratitude to you for the wonderful teams you have coached, and the favorable publicity given to the Kansas University. On page 41 I notice that you recognize the value of a small cup of honey for your players. Being in the distribution of food products, we have one out-— standing item which is Lake Shore brand Comb Jar Honey produced by the W. F. Straub & Co. at Chicago, Ill. This is a blend of four honeys which is pasteurized and largely pro- duced by this company from their own bees, of which they have over 12,000 hives which they transport from the Southern States each Spring and Summer to harvest the crop and then return the bees to the Southern climate for the Winter months. Inasmuch as this honey is outstanding and is produced by a man who also recognizes the health value from the standpoint of a biological chemist, we are taking the liberty, Phog, of asking Mr. Straub to send you a liberal supply of samples of this honey. Mr. Straub has had a great deal of success in using this honey for an afternoon pickup in.a glass of water for the average business man. . We believe that some trainers of horses even recognize the value of honey. | Inasmuch as Mr. Straub lives near Evanston, ino doubt, he and Dutch Lomborg will also cooperate. ! Looking forward to your next visit to St. Louis for a gather- ing of the Alumni when Fred Ellsworth comes over and with best wishes for a most successful season during the Spring of 1941, I am Very truly yours, TOT: LLK Oe re
