“HAROLD SNEED, DIRECTOR oO. L. HIEBER, TREASURER W. O. HENDERSON, CLERK LANE PUBLIC SCHOOLS G. E. Trusy, suPERINTENDENT LANE, KANSAS May 25-40 Dr. F.C. Allen Director of Physical Education Kansas University Lawrence Kansas. Dear Dr. Allen: There has been a question come to my mind, as we come to the refinishing of our gymn floor. This years rules specify the end lines as being four feet back of the backboards instead of the old two feet. Do you think that this rule will become permanent and compulsory 7 We can set our lines back about one foot and still have room to pass the ball in from the outside. This would give us a total distance of three feet instead of the four as suggested by the rules. Do you think that this is advisable? We can put extentions on the goals and comply with the reales but this would necessitate quite an expense. I would appreciate your opinion. .l hope that you are planning a pleasant summer, you rightfully deserve the rest. Glad to see your name on the. coaching school faculty, for this year, at Topeka. 1, hape to be fortunate enough to be present. With the kindest regards, I remain Sincerely yours —
