Thanks very much for your letter of the 18th inst.,
in which you write thet Gale Botts is out for basketball as a freshman,
and that you are having him come see yous While he may not mc&ke you
2 ster player, his heart is in basketball and coaehing basketball es a
profession, and naturally I went himto see that he gets the best he
can end know of no one better able toteach it to him than you are.

We have another athlete in high school here this year
who is really a good all round man; probebly one of the best in Western
Kansas. That is Jack Webb, football, basketball and track. He ran the
100 yard dash at the State Regional in Hays last year in 9.9. Perhaps
if the right person contacts him he could be convinced to go to K. U.

I understand his inclinations are for Colorado.

You could write to Goodland or Syracuse to find out
what the thought of him when he palyed against them this year.
