I have your letter of June 22, and our factory
connection has the following Tennis Nets which they
refer to as “reconditioned. AS a rule these are
merély shopworn sample Nets, but we list them and
price them subject, of course, to their being
entirely satisfactory when they come in. We have
ordered them for shipment after July 1 on account
of the tax going off at that time. The Nets
Which will be available, and the price subject to
their being satisfactory, are as follows:

I was glad indeed to hear from you again, for it
has been quite sometime since I have seen your signed
name at the end of a letter. | |

I, too, am very pleased over Red's election. I
am darn certain that he will give the Association a
real year of administration and personal interest. Of
course this situation has its dark side, I was at
Red's place at Hutchinson, and his farm home, last
Thursday and Friday, and he had been rubbing it in on
me because you may recall a few years ago I was candidate
for Director of the Association and was ignominiously de-
feated, Anyhow, I think I was second of a field of four,
which was 0.K,

I have not been at Lawrence as frequently recently
as I used to be when I was trying to save the Brynwod
Place for the Acacias, and when I had two boys in school,
and whereas Brynwood is lost or losing and I have only
onw boy left in school.

I expect to be down there on the 9th of July, but
my few trips all seem to be hurried, I would certainly
like to see you and have a good old visit, and am sure
we can do that some time,
