They EPISCOPAL CHURCH MAIN AND HOLMAN IN THE CITY OF HOUSTON THE REVEREND THOMAS N. CARRUTHERS MISS GLADYS TAYLER Rector Parish Secretary THE REVEREND J. LAWRENCE PLUMLEY MR. JOHN F. MINTON Assistant Financial Secretary December 20, 1937. Dr. Forrest C. Allen, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. My dear Dr. Allen: Trinity parish will forever be indebted to A. C. Olson, of 134 N. 13th Street, Philadelphia, for his magnificent handling of our debt retiring campaign. — Our goal was $65,000.00. The campaign opened November 29th and concluded on schedule time, December 8th. We have over 1000 subscrip- tions for $75,588.00, of which more than $11,000.00 has been given by 283 non-members, with the ultimate result probably amounting to $80,000.00. Mr. Olson was engaged for this campaign after a most thorough investigation. He has fulfilled our every expectation. We have found him to be @ superior man in every respect. He has consulted with us on every step in the campaign. He has made a most favorable impression on every member of the Committee. His popularity was further attested by a spon- taneous enthusiastic rising vote of thanks and appreciation at our Victory Dinner, Mr. Olson built an organization of over 300 active and earnest workers - twice as many as we ever enlisted in any previous parish under- taking. We will continue this organization and expect to make good use of it in the future. The publicity of all kinds has been perfect. Trinity has always had a fine spirit of fellowship. It has had the friendship and respect of the community. These bonds have been greatly strengthened by this campaign. We write this letter in the hope that it may encourage and be helpful to others, ohn Lansdale Senior Warden and Campaign Chairman Thomas N. Carruthers, Rector.
