Urich Public Schools J. F. Taylor, Superintendent URICH, MISSOURI Aug. 14, 1937. Dr. F. C. Allen Dept. Physical Ed., University Lawrence, Kansas Dear Sir: Thursday I applied at Nortonville, Kansas, for a teaching position in high school, also, to coach basket ball. I took my basket ball brace in your classes at Warrens- burg, and played in intramural (summer) games, with "Eph Markey & Co”. J. W. Miller and I played forward on that team. Supt. H. P. Stover, Nortonville, Kansas, would like a state- ment that I took courses in basket ball, and that I have had exper- ience in coaching. If you could send a letter direct to Supt. Stover the first of the week, it would help very much to land the position. As to experience, our Fayette team won first at Kirksville, also at Columbia for schools under 150 enrollment. My New Bloomfield team won Callaway Co. tournament at Fulton, and placed third in the Jefferson City tournament. Recently, my teams have placed in county tournaments in Sedalia, and Clinton. The. above is to indicate something of my work in coach- ing, and that I have had a measure of seccess. I thot you might not have noticed such items, so far over this way. May I sincerely thank you for any assistance. Mrs. Taylor joins me in sending best regards to all. Sincerely yours, If deg
