Dear Dr. Allen:

I am enclosing a copy of the preliminary announcement
that is being made with regard to the Conference on Public
Swimming Pools to be held April 21 and 22.

After talking with Mr. MacDonald, park commissioner
of Wichita, and with Professor Treece, it seemed desirable
to plan to have part of the conference on Saturday morning,
so since. talking to you, we have added the —

Before formulating the program, we should ‘at the
detailed program of the relays in order that we may plan our
program in such a way as not to interfere with relay activities.

We would appreciate it very much if you would give
some thought to a speaker to present the recreational program
part of the conference, I believe that Mr. Hunt, coach from
Newton, Kansas, who is now studying at the University of Iowa,
plans to be here, and I believe we can count on him for some
assistance, Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated,
