UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION URBANA April 19, 1939. My. FF. GL: Abies, Head, Department of Physical Education, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. Dear Mr. Allen: Yesterday a copy of the program for the conference of public pools, which is being held at Lawrence, Kansas on April 21 and 22, came into my possession. I was very much interested in this program because for almost a year now I have been formulating a somewhat similar conference to be held at the University of Illinois on June 6 and 7. Our program, like yours, is a combined effort under the auspices of School of Physical Education and State Department of Public Health, Division of Sanitary Engineering. ' It is my belief that»your experiences in the conduct of your conference might be of great value to us and perhaps when we hold ours we will have some problems and points come up that will be of value to you. It is. my hope, therefore, that I can persuade you to forward me a brief of the results obtained from your conference and perhaps a discussion of some of the problems that you incurred in the running of it. In exchange for this I can offer you the same sort of thing upon the termination of our ow meeting. I would appreciate very much hearing from you in respect to this matter. Sincerely yours, Kw Crary E. . Crate, Supervisor of Swimming. C.B
