Towanda, Kansas January 22, 1940 Dr. F.C», Allen Professor-Physical Education Kansas University Lawrence, Kansas Dear Dr. Allens I recently received-yeur bulletin concerning preference as to which of two.courses I might be interested in for the coming summer. Since I took the ure "Theory and Practice of Athletic Training" last summer, I naturally would be more interested in the other course “Advanced Basketball". I am sure it would prove profitable to me and probably would be to many other young (or old) coaches. The course in athletic training which you had last year has certainly been an aid this year and I imagine it will be even more valuable in years to come as I work with it. We did not have an athletic training table bohéee Gute year, but we now have one and it gives the dressing room cee of a “reiting atmosphere. Your pavket bedi team seems to be up near the top again this year. I wondered what cues ie the matter when I noticed you hat been beaten by Missouri, but imagine that the Tigers were plenty good that night. So far this year we Kas won six and lost one. Don't know just how ood a team we have, but hope to keep going as well the rest of the season. I sincerely hope I oe be able to take a course as good as the ene i had last summer under your leadership. Tell Bob to keep — droppitte that ball through the net as he has been. A believer in Better Basketball even though I did not get to pley for you, I remain 2 iy Ge Towanda High i Hare, PS. He neur-thove 2 ov Hov-/b- 44
