Student program for New Orleans Convention is planned to discuss and act upon a national student section. distribute the above plan to State and District Associations Because the committee felt that students should plan their national section, action upon this function must wait until after the New Orleans Convention. No doubt the national student section will take this function as one of their projects in the future. Membership stimulate and promote student membership By yuestionnaires on membership and returned summaries to the groups mentioned earlier in this report, @n attempt was made to fulfill this function. promote a carry-over of membership The Committee on Student Section felt this could best be effected if interest in the A.A.H.«P.U.A. were kept alive during the students undergraduate days. The suggestion was made that each teacher education institution could contact its graduates concerning membership or send their names and addresses to a state memvership chairman. Attendance at Conventions stimulate increased attendances ete. (on this problem Questionnaires and summaries of the answers\were sont to all teacher oducation institutions. Through the acting student chairmen for the New Orleans Convention plans for interesting social and professional meetings were set-up. All teacher education institutions were contacted for ideas. Each district of the A.A-HeP.g=-R. was asked to sond two delvgates to participate in the student panel. Committees msmoers were urged to give publicity to conventions (statu, district, and national) througn talks, end also through articles,"the state and district newsletters. The Journal was used for national nows. Section chairmen for the National Convention were written and asked to include students on thoir program wherever this was feasible. Student rates were secured at hotels for tho National Convention. Colleges were urged to sond delcogatcs.
