Thanks very much for the expression of good will that was con-
tained in your letter of the 22nd of March. It appears thet after due
consideration, the authorities decided to keep me another year, hoping
thet by that time the war would be over and there would be more mater-
ial to select from when the boys return to their homes. It is needless
for me to add that I am very happy to have a reprieve of one year as I
truly enjoy my association with other members of our inter-collegiate
fraternity.

Your story of the spaghetti-vendor was apropos and I enjoyed it.
