Ostober 28, 1943. Dr. R. A. Schwegler, 107 Fraser. Dear Dean Schwegler: I appreciate your generosity and your thoughtfulness in bringing your check toe our office for the National War Fund end Lawrence Cormmmity Chest drive. Mrs. Hulteen spoke to me regarding your suggestion for es statement to be placed on the card as to designation of donations to certain organizations. Personally, it is my opinion that the committee desired to keep that down as much as possible, wless the donor specified on the card that his gift should go to a particular organization. They were afraid that in the confusion it would a¥ouse much dis- cussion that might be inimical to the greatest giving. We certainly had to hemmer hard to get over the goal and we wont over with a bang but it took concerted action by everyone, and an inhibition of any outside discussion to con- centrats our whole efforts on the consummation of this splend- id drive. Thank you for your fine part. Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, PCA:AH Yarsity Basketball Coach.
