b. No University parties or dances may last later than 12:00 p.m. with the exception that the WEC may grant permission for later hours for the four class parties. | c. There shall be no dances given before 6:00 p.m. with the exception of Saturdays. d. Saturday afternoon dances may last not longer than two hours and must be authorized by the Adviser of Women. e. Dances may be held at student houses between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. f. Dances may not be held in student houses on Sundays. g. All dancing parties must be authorized by the Adviser of Women with the exception of the hour dances. 12. Serenading is subject to the following rules: a. Each organized house or group of women may be allowed one sere~ nade each semester upon registering such serenade with the Adviser of Women. Serenaders must observe a 1:00 a.m. closing hour. b. Groups upon being serenaded may sing one song in return, clap, but may not converse with the serenaders. c. Groups violating the serenading rules shall forfeit their sot iiews to serenade for the ensuing two semesters. 13. 2:30 a.m. late permits for out of town affairs are subject to the follow- ing rules: a. Each girl whose scholarship is at or above a C average may have two late permissions per semester, the closing hour for these permissions to be 2:30 am. Additional late permissions for cultural occasions shall be granted by the Adviser of Women. b. 2:30 a.m. late permissions shall be granted on the week end unless the function occurs only during the week. c. Girls must register at the office of the Adviser of Women for 2:30 a.m. late permissions. 14. Occasions calling for parents permission as listed in the “blue card” shall be taken care of through said card. In case of the absence of the “blue card” special permission from parents will be accepted. 15. The first two violations by an individual of the WEC House Rules may be dealt with by the group of which that individual is a member, or in the case of an unorganized house by the landlady. The third violation must be referred to the House Rules Committee and this body shall deal with the offender or offenders. In case of flagrant violation in the first or second offense when deemed necessary by the group or landlady, the matter may be referred to the House Rules Committee. 16. In the case of undue hardship worked upon any woman student by the rules or in the case of undue punishment inflicted upon her, she may appeal to the House Rules Committee. Nore: —The Women’s Executive Committee may change these rules when- ever deemed necessary. 17. late permissions for entertaining out of town guests may be obtained from the Office of the Adviser of Women.
