Pebruary ll, 1944. Mrs. George Wi. Winters, 622 1. Topeka Avenue, Wichita, Kansas. Dear irs. Winters: We have had a very difficult struggle with flu in our office. First I got it for a short while, and then my secretary upon whom I depend so much has been i111] nearly two weeks. I have had three articles to write, besides @ radio talk one day each week. This, together with my heavy duty as secretary of our local selective service board, as county chairman of our Red Cross drive which is coming up, and coaching basketball and my duties in Physical Education have about swemped me. We are leaving tonight for Norman to play the University of Oklahoma end we have two games away from home next week. Therefore, I would be happy if you could excuse me from this assigument even thoughtit is short. If you desire an article for next month's Kansas Parent Teachers magazine I will be happy to respond -- if I know it early enough. ~ Very sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, FCA: AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
