I returned from the Towa and the Kansas coaching schools
and find your very levely letter of August 22. You certainly
are grand te do this for Virginia Peete, and I want you to
know that I personally appreciate the same very much.

I understand the rushing rules, but want you to know that
these kindnesses which you are doing are deeply appreciated.

I sincerely trust that you will have a great year at
Minnesota. I do hope to see you and the rest of your good
_ family in Lawrence before you leave for the north. I am sure
that you had a grand summer.
