Thanks a lot,friend.The job's

a tough one, and it'll take all I have--
end maybe more. But I'm going to do my
best. The old pull of sports--college

and prep sports--remains as strong as
ever though. And I am still as deeply
interested as ever in the Big Six--and
always will be.

| Best wishes to you in all things,
and to your current crop of Jayhawkers

in the rest of the season,when it appears,
theytll go pretty abruptly from the campus
to the war. The war comes home as we read
about the kids we knew as Big Six boys.

It makes us realize that we who do not
fight must do all we can for them,
